About 30 area teens gathered at the Cook Funeral Home in Jenison on June 18 to make an unusual video. It was a stark, emotional message about the dangers of texting while driving. Ironically, within a few hours of the shoot, a Grand Rapids teen would die when he answered a text message while driving.

“A funeral home has a unique voice in the community to send this message,” said Bob Kreter, Cook’s marketing manager. “We started talking about a project like this a year ago. It’s becoming a crisis.”… Read the rest of the MLive story here
